In 2002 HIV/AIDS was the number 1 cause of death for African American women aged 25–34

 African Americans have accounted for 40% of AIDS diagnoses since the beginning of the epidemic.

Identify persons with undiagnosed chronic diseases primarily HIV
Reduce barriers to early diagnosis of HIV and
Mobilize the Black community understand what behaviors put them at risk

Actions of Empowerment
House Parties: promote organizational activities, recruit volunteers, and gain community support. These parties are free and we welcome women and girls of all ages who suffer from disease and abuse or are engaging in "unsafe"
